Stadium: Fans of the Summerville Green Wave regularly pack 10,000+ into the stands at Memorial Stadium. It may be tough to find your own seat if you decide to catch a game; roughly two-thirds of the seats there are reserved and personalized for fans that purchased their seats as part of a fundraiser for the program.

In a few instances, he has even coached three generations of the same family. Not only did he coach his own grandson, Joe Call, but Joe is now an assistant coach on McKissick’s staff.
McKissick was inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame in 1990, named national high school coach of the year in 1980, 1994, and 2003, and had the field at Memorial Stadium named after him in 1987. He has had just two losing season in his career and has never missed a game.
McKissick, 81, has no plans to retire in the near future. With yet another contender for the state championship, why would he?
